His main research topics are High Performance Computing, Distributed and Parallel Systems and application of new Technologies.
He has been Head of Institute of Research in Computer Sciences LIDI (III-LIDI) from 1984 to 1st August, 2021.
He has been Senior researcher at CONICET until November, 2021.

TEACHING

Extraordinary Professor with Emeritus category by the UNLP.
Senior Lecturer in charge of Postgraduate studies Cordination in the Faculty of Computer Science (UNLP).
Current participation in courses related to Parellel Systems and Edge, Fog and Cloud Computing in the Doctorate in Computer Sciences and the Master in High Performance Computing.

Full member of the National Engineering Academy since September 2011.
Full member of the Engineering Academy of the province of Buenos Aires since Abril 2011.
Vice president of the Engineering Academy of the province of Buenos Aires since August 2020.

MANAGEMENT

Dean of the Computer Sciences School in three different periods betweeen 2001 and 2018.
Academic Vice president of the UNLP in the period 2010-2014.
President of the Scientific Research Commission of the province of Buenos Aires. January 2016-January 2017.
Main Editor of two indexed journal: Journal of Computer Science & Technology and Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnología en Educación y Educación en Tecnología.

TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

He has run and worked in Technology Transfer proyects since 1973 at the Schools of Engineering, Exact Sciences and Computer Sciences with numerous private and state companies
